Models
Nichole is always looking for a wide variety of models from various ages, sizes, ethnicities, sexes, etc. to further her artwork based on human nature. She offers a discount off portrait prices when a model release is signed and, for select people, a trade for print option. You need not be an experienced model to be considered for any of the above. Her subjects are often real folks, just being real in their bodies with direction from her. Please email your interests and thoughts if you would like to discuss participating in a photo session, but please be specific in your email's subject line or it may not get opened.

Nichole's Philosophy on Photography
My goal when photographing people is to explore the beautiful eccentricities of life. This aspect becomes most apparent when I teach about photographs - nothing is insignificant. It is from this basis that I create my work. Both commercial subjects and fine art pieces receive conscious thought into the color, framing, size, subject matter, surroundings... everything is significant. Examples of this can be found in the life-size c-prints I make in the color darkroom for the essence of being series. Conceptually, the human figures encased in surreal environments address the dichotomies of human nature and humanity in nature. Peruse other portfolios on this site, and you'll find lush textures and bold colors. Some fine art pieces have had found materials collaged into them, scratched, burned, painted on or otherwise transformed to create a desired personal aesthetic or to further a concept. The tactile quality of a traditional wet darkroom and printing my own b&w and color photographs will always be a true love, although contemporary digital technology is an awesome tool for creative self expression. It is essential for commercial assignments and fine art commissions.
